The RBI Mortgage Protection Plan can assist individuals through financially difficult times.  The assistance offered may be financial, educational or both.  If you experience an unexpected financial emergency, our Mortgage Protection Plan can provide gift funds for the express purpose of making a mortgage payment.

If you are behind on the mortgage and special arrangements need to be made, the RBI Mortgage Protection Plan will provide early delinquency counseling and provide financial information back to your lender for appropriate workout options.

The RBI Mortgage Protection Plan will make available a pool of funds to assist homebuyers/homeowners in keeping current on your mortgage payments.  If you're already delinquent on your mortgage payment, we also provide the same counseling process(Early Delinquency Counseling) to assist in making your mortgage payment(s) current.

Examples of items that may be covered are unexpected medical expenses, protection for various short-term disabilites, unually high car repair bills, catostrophic events, or other major financial events.

Coverage Period

Twenty Four (24) months from the closing date of the mortgage.

Maximum Benefit

The lesser of the actual mortgage payment (PITI) or $1,800 per month.

Benefit Period

Up to a maximum of six (6) payments during each twelve (12) month coverage term.

Vesting Period

Sixty (60) days from mortgage closing date  (if purchaser becomes unemployed during Vesting Period, there is no coverage for this occurence of unemployment)

Waiting Period

Thirty (30) days from commencement of unemployment.
